Work as part of an installation support team responsible for installation of furniture systems; such as Herman Miller, Pleion, OFS and Legacy brands for the MDIOC.
Responsible for providing furniture and cable installation. Installation of furniture includes Herman Miller, Pleion, Legacy, Krug and Touhy models. Will be breaking down, moving, and installing furniture. Installation of cable to include terminating, testing and troubleshooting Cat5, Cat6, fiber, copper and video cable when needed. Possible termination and installation of BNC's fiber-optic ST and SC, Cat-5/6, RGB and coax cables
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to lift 35 lbs, work overhead from a ladder, and work below computer floors. Understanding of designs and layouts. Knowledge of cable installation install such as terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5, Cat6, fiber, copper and video cable. Possible experience with basic cable installation hand tools including RJ-11, RJ-45, pin crimpers, wire strippers, pin extractors, floor tile puller and punch down tools. Possible experience at terminating and installing BNC's fiber-optic ST and SC, Cat-5/6, RGB & coax cables. A working knowledge of cable color codes. Must have a High School Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience.
