| Job Description: |
The Intern will:
• Assist in the statistical and technical analyses for the evaluation of component and weapon system reliability and availability
• Analyze technical data derived from various tests - Analytical techniques include sampling, exploratory data analysis, regression analysis, modeling and reliability analysis
• Analyze and quantify trends, and provide projections of availability and reliability impact at the system and subsystem levels
• Assist in the coordination and development of mathematical/statistical/engineering solutions
• Additional responsibilities may include: cost analysis, review of technical and management data, quality control, problem identification, and corrective action planning
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: • Be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program in one of the following engineering curricula: Mathematics, Statistics, or other similar engineering or scientific major
• Must have completed at least sophomore year of college/university
• Must have excellent leadership, written and verbal communications skills
• Must have experience in Microsoft Office - experience with SharePoint is a plus
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10 weeks during the summer 2012 semester
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite; a current clearance is helpful, but not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
• GPA 3.2 or above is preferred.
