Job Description: 

The position will report to the Director of the Global Logistics and Modification (GLM) Business Unit. The candidate is the ESC site chief engineering authority. Engineer will provide functional and operational guidance to the GLM Business Unit in Technical Services’ Integrated Logistics and Modernization Division (ILMD). The candidate will The candidate will be responsible to formulate and integrate policies, procedures, and controls that will govern both the engineering and logistics functions of GLM and its subordinate units. This position will directly influence and impact the strategic operations of GLM, ILMD and the Technical Services Sector and routinely interact at all levels of the Northrop Grumman Corporation.

This position requires an expert understanding of how Northrop Grumman provides logistics and engineering services within each of the company’s sectors and requires an expert understanding of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition process. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to proposal teams in the performance of analysis of alternative courses of action for engineering and logistics solutions sets.

The engineer is responsible to ensure policies and procedures of GLM meet and exceed AS9100 and CMMI requirements and provide functional leadership to all quality functions within GLM. The candidate will be responsible for the success or failure of all quality functions within GLM.

The engineer will act as the lead technical advisor for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) information exchanges and ensure GLM’s technical advisors are properly trained and assigned on projects. Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules and/or resolve technical and operational problems. Directly participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects.

The engineer will manage the long term strategic acquisition and training of engineering resources within GLM.

Basic Qualifications:: Must have knowledge of Quality/ISO/AS9100. Must have excellent communication skills to include Microsoft operations.

Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: Aeronautical engineering degree.
