Put your years of experience into a future of excellence... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's ISD Mission Assurance Organization. The professional is embedded with the program management team. He or she receives day-to-day direction from the Program Director. Roles and Responsibilities: • Oversees quality assurance and quality control of all Task Orders managed by the program, • Directs the work of field quality technicians, some of which may be third parties, • Directly interfaces with the Customer on matters of quality, • Gathers “Voice of Customer” and “Voice of Business” to define quality, • Proactively identifies, analyzes risks to the program; works with stakeholders to appropriately handle the risk through reduction, acceptance, transfer, or avoidance actions, • Designs, implements, and manages quality management systems that are appropriately sized and scoped for the program or task orders, some elements of which may be performed by third parties, • Designs, implements, and manages measurement systems for performance and quality, • Monitors actual performance and quality and takes timely action to correct deficiencies, • Applies quality management and control systems to work such as construction, logistics, depot repair, or customer invoicing, • Facilitates management and control of the program by applying Northrop Grumman’s Program Execution Framework and Business Acquisition Processes, • Assesses, qualifies, monitors, and reports on prospective or contracted suppliers and subcontractors according to the program’s needs and requirements, as well, as criteria in the Supplier Assessment Management System (SAMS), • Assesses product or service specifications; flow down quality and performance requirements to suppliers, subcontractors, or partners, • Leads causal analysis and resolution where significant problems or risks arise that affect the program’s success, • Employs knowledge of quality models like ISO9000, the Capability Maturity Model – Integration (CMMI®), the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), and the Supply Chain Operations Model (SCOR®) to gauge the maturity of specific major programs, • Applies knowledge of continuous improvement approaches, e.g., Six Sigma®, Lean, or Theory of Constraints to better the operations of a specific major program. • Uses knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 to foster good health, safety, and environmental practices.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • High School Diploma • 9 years of applicable Engineering/Mission Assurance experience • Effective communication and consulting skills, • A proactive disposition, • Ability to operate in highly matrixed environments with multiple, sometimes conflicting demands, • A record of effectively applying quality functions in construction, logistics, or depot repair, • Knowledge of industry quality management systems, ISO9000, • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 • Five years working experience in an ISO9000 environment, • Position requires a current Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • Certified Quality Engineer or Quality Manager • ISO9000 Lead Auditor • Working knowledge of the logistics industry, construction industry, or depot services industry.
