Job Description: 

Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Brooklyn, NY.

Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's $500M New York City Wireless program. This is a program to operate, maintain and grow a comprehensive broadband public-safety wireless network. This network enhances the city’s existing mobile wireless communications network with high-speed data and video capabilities, and is able to deploy new, advanced wireless applications to support first responders and transportation personnel, and beyond.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a POC for the customer in leading and overseeing program enhancements and new applications development.

• Participate in negotiation of contract and contract changes

• Act as a customer contact for program activities; lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance

• Develop new business or expand the product line with the customer

• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules

• Manage, analyze and review the work of multiple sub-contract teaming partners

• Oversee certain sub-projects

• Manage project managers

• Implement new technologies that require coordination of applications across program requirements


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Bachelors Degree

• A minimum of 10 years of Structured Program management experience serving multiple customers and subcontractors

• Ability to work with and effectively communicate with customers and key providers

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills;

• Ability to interact with different levels of management within Northrop Grumman and client organization.

• Requires the ability to develop and manage program plans and delivery methods in this emerging market.

• Proven ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with mobile application development
