Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements. Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation. Other responsibilities will be to: - Lead the development of SCMS’ BI Tool Suite infrastructure effort that supports the project goals, strategies and standards for MIS applications to support the SCMS organizations at all levels
- Lead the development of BI Tool Suite based technical applications, as required, for SCMS and VPP. This includes both external website and intranet web site interfaces for clients.
- Ensure the SCMS MIS global BI Tool strategies are being appropriately considered throughout the planning, implementation and evaluation phases of MIS operations.
- Develop new data infrastructure requirements for the PFSCM and SCMS BI Tool Suite, including user interface, security concerns, hosting environments, etc.
- Work with the Senior Web Developer and unit BI leads to develop a user focused information-rich environment with best of UI/UX standards.
- Develop data requirements for the Oracle 11G data warehouse, develop data tables as required within the data warehouse for BI Tool consumption.
- Build BI application systems using SAS, Microsoft, MicroStrategy, Oracle, SAP, Cognos, or Jaspersoft BI Tool Suite (to be determined based on RFP selection process).
Qualifications:
. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years experience
- Experience with feasibility and requirements analyses for BI systems or new requests for information that may include custom dashboards or reports within the SCMS BI Tool Suite applications.
- Experience designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining BI Tool applications. Including custom development for user requirements.
- Must have significant experience in OLAP or BI Analytics.
- Experience in UI/UX design and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of multiple BI Tool Suites Working knowledge of Oracle 10G or 11G datawarehouse Web development technologies
