Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Austin, Texas. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's support of the Department of Veterans Affairs Austin Information Technology Center. Roles and Responsibilities: • Utilize Enterprise Application integration techniques such as Transact SQL Stored Procedures and XML to perform the following: Support the Maintenance of a two-way interface between the Primavera Application Suite and the AITC Invoice Database that ensures they stay in sync, for both billable and non-billable AITC projects. Support the Maintenance of a two-way interface between the Primavera Application Suite and the AITC Rate Model that ensures they stay in sync. • Develop and create the following reports on a regular basis: AITC Delinquent Timesheet History (Weekly), AITC Deliverable Distribution Report (Monthly), NGIT Time Report – Consolidated , RDI Time Report – Consolidated, Non-NGIT/RDI Time Report FY 2009 – Consolidated • Provide mentoring, training, and one on one sessions to customers on how to effectively use and maneuver in the Primavera Application Suite. • Provide Build Management training, as necessary. Attend weekly Release Management team meetings (3 – 4 p.m. Thursdays). Provide advice, training, and assistance to Build managers concerning the creation of change orders and packages in USD, creation of activities in Primavera, assignment of estimated hours to each activity, and coordination of releases for each application.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Bachelors degree • Five years proven Project Accounting experience • Five years experience in the creation of sound development methodologies and project metrics • Strong leadership skills, management skills, technical skills, business writing skills and knowledge • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera, SQL, Microsoft Access, Excel, Project and Word.
