Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a IT Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Austin, Texas. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's support of the Department of Veterans Affairs Austin Information Technology Center. Roles and Responsibilities: • Provide recommendations to the CDCO Program Manager as to project staffing requirements and employee discipline(s) required for the project team(s). • Develop formal project charters as required by the CDCO Program Manager. • Conduct project kick-off and status meetings and communicate individual roles and project expectations. d. Conduct formal project reviews with project sponsor at project completion and review all project products to confirm acceptance and satisfaction. • Monitor project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule and identify ways to resolve schedule issues. Ensure that risks associated with the cost, resource, schedule, and technical aspects of the project are identified, assessed, documented, tracked, and mitigated.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Bachelors degree • Five years proven IT project management experience • ITIL v3 Foundations certified • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project and Word.
