Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Windows System Administrator 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Fairmont, WV. Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's ABIS Program, the leading biometric solution for the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable hands-on experience with Microsoft 2003 and 2008 experience Server Operating Systems; Active Directory design and configuration; understanding of TCP/IP Ports and Protocols. Experience with SQL Server 2005 and 2008, Windows Server Updating Software (WSUS), and Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition or other operating system experience is a plus. Position requires all employees possess current vendor operating system certification and current DoD 8570.01M certification. All candidates must already have current certifications or must be willing to obtain them within 6 months of hire. A Full Top Secret DoD Clearance will be required for independent work in Government Sites. Position is located in Fairmont WV. There are no provisions for relocation so candidates must reside within commuting distance of our office in Fairmont, or be willing to relocate there in a timely manner at their own expense if selected. Roles and Responsibilities: • Installation and configuration of Windows server and Active Directory. • Updating and patching Windows servers, workstations and applications. • Installation and configuration of Red Hat Linux Servers using Red Hat Satellite. • Administration of Red Hat Linux servers including troubleshooting and provisioning. • Maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting NetApp storage appliances to meet design requirements. • Creating and updating engineering documentation, defining detailed schedule tasks to meet contractual deployment timelines. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years hands on experience in a Windows 2000/2003/2008 environment using Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Experience creating and maintaining engineering documentation • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team • This position requires candidates to be US Citizens who are eligible to obtain an Interim DoD Secret security clearance (pass an extensive background investigation) prior to being hired.Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • Experience deploying operating system and application using products such as Altiris, Symantec Ghost, IBM Tivoli, IBM Director, Windows Deployment Server, or WSUS preferred. • Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) • CompTIA Security • Knowledge and experience designing and deploying DoD Common Access Card (CAC) authentication a plus • Experience administering McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator/HBSS preferred • Experience in a secure DoD, DoJ, or Government environment a plus • Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret or Top Secret Clearance
