UOP LLC, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, is a leading international supplier and licensor of process technology, catalysts, adsorbents, process plants, and consulting services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries. UOP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell International, Inc. and is part of Honeywell's Performance Materials and Technologies strategic business group. There is an immediate opening for a Lead Hydroprocessing Process Development Specialist in the Hydroprocessing and Heavy Oil Development Group. This group plays a leading role in development of new and improvement of existing hydroprocessing, heavy oil and alternative energy technologies for UOP's licensees, including process, catalyst, and equipment technology. The successful candidate will apply refining chemistry and engineering technology to conversion of hydrocarbon feed stocks to clean transportation fuels. The successful candidate will be involved with development of new hydroprocessing and catalyst technologies and work with other Senior Refining Technologists in the development of new projects and will take a leading role in projects that are selected. The candidate will also periodically support marketing efforts by UOP's business units by providing technical support including customer demonstration testing, writing technical papers, developing yield estimates and performing economic analyses.
