Honeywell Specialty Materials is one of Honeywell's 4 major strategic business groups. This opportunity is for a Summer internship for a Masters or Ph.D. level student in chemical engineering or physical chemistry, with background in property measurement, surface phenomena, thermodynamics or transport phenomena. The internship will consist of computer modeling, conversion of ASPEN databases to UNISIM and/or property measurements of liquids, gases and/or solids. Candidates must be legally authorized to work, in the U.S., without sponsorship.
Basic Qualifications:


- Currently pursuing a Masters degree or Ph.D, in chemical engineering, chemistry or mechanical engineering, at an accredited college or university.

- Completed college level coursework, in surface phenomena, thermodynamics or transport phenomena.

- Must be able to participate in an internship, prior to completing current degree program.


Additional Qualifications:


- Knowledge of process simulation using tools such as ASPEN, UNISIM and/or HYSYS.

- Familiar with the physical properties required by the process simulators and experimental and/or prediction techniques to determine these properties.

- Experimental experience in determining vapor pressure, density and/or transport properties of liquids, gases or solids is also desired.

- Ability to work independently, with little supervision.

- Ability to work within a diverse team.

- Excellent oral communication skills.
