UOP LLC, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, is a leading international supplier and licensor of process technology, catalysts, adsorbents, process plants, and consulting services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries. UOP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell International, Inc. and is part of Honeywell's Performance Materials and Technologies strategic business group. There is an immediate opening for a Hydroprocessing Process Development Specialist In the Refining Conversion Development Group. This group plays a leading role in development of new and improvement of existing hydroprocessing, heavy oil and alternative energy technologies for UOP's licensees, including process, catalyst, and equipment technology. The successful candidate will apply refining chemistry and engineering technology to conversion of hydrocarbon and heavy oil feedstocks to clean transportation fuels. The candidate will also periodically support marketing efforts by UOP's business units by providing technical support including customer demonstration testing, writing technical papers, developing yield estimates and performing economic analyses.
