Honeywell Specialty Materials, based in Morristown, N.J., is a global leader in providing customers with high-performance specialty materials, including fluorine products; specialty films and additives; advanced fibers and composites; intermediates; specialty chemicals; electronic materials and chemicals; and technologies and materials for petroleum refining. Honeywell Specialty Materials employs approximately 10,000 people at more than 80 manufacturing and sales facilities worldwide.


Responsible for all human resource activities with strong focus on employee development. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.


As part of a team, responsible for all human resource activities to include training and development, employee relations, and labor relations, including:


  • Assists with interview coordination, Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.

  • Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses from the operator level through to professional development.

  • Prepare and maintain company various reports for census, recruiting, grievance tracking and other HR Metric related activities.

  • Conduct on boarding and off boarding activities

  • Liaison with union representatives to resolve labor relation issues. Coach and counsel salaried employees on labor relation issues

  • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.

  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.

  • Recommend, develop and maintain human resource metrics and manual filing systems.

  • Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in HR or technical discipline

  • 4 years HR Generalist experience including one year in a manufacturing environment


Additional Qualifications:


  • 1 year HR experience in a unionized environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting HR (ex. FMLA, EEOC, NLRA, etc.).
