Fire-Lite Alarms is the leader in low to medium sized fire alarm systems, and has a long and successful history serving low-voltage installers. Manufactured in a 300,000 square foot facility in Northford, CT, these products are simple to install and troubleshoot, they are innovative and cost effective, are protected by a comprehensive warranty and backed by great applications and field training resources.



The Product Marketing Manager, Fire-Lite Alarms is responsible for recommending and implementing marketing activities for Fire-Lite Alarms, and Honeywell Power Products. He/she will work with the marketing team to identify, document and recommend growth activities for the business. These growth activities will be developed through use of Voice of the Customer (VOC) discussions to discern customer segments, economics [willingness to pay and cost to serve], competitive dynamics, development of offerings for each target segment, and development of go to market approaches including channel, positioning, pricing and promotion.



The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales organization, Engineering and Quality functions, key distributors, internal executives, and key business partners to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization's product portfolio today and in the future.





Responsibilities and Duties:

• Analysis of market to determine customer needs, feature/benefit value proposition, and positioning against competition.

• Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy based on knowledge of HFS strengths, customer characteristics, and profit objectives. Consult with customers and prospects to determine what is expected to be in demand.

• Conduct VOC with distributors, end-users, and influencers.

• Actively participate in customer/promotional activities, trade and special customer shows, collateral generation, and customer messaging communications.

• Drive marketing interface activities with Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Operations, Engineering and Communications.

• Prepare New Product Introductions (NPI) projects; including such detail as key customer needs, value propositions and financial projections.

• Coordinate marketing communications activities to promote products such as webinars, email blasts and other media, working with the Communications group. Identify field issues and communicate latest product changes, updates or corrective actions.

• Conduct pricing analysis and sales forecasting to ensure availability and profitability of products, analyzing the business and monitoring market trends. Develop pricing strategies.

• Review documentation related to product line to ensure it is accurate, complete and effective. Work with Engineering on creation/revision of all technical documentation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree

• 3 years experience in marketing, product marketing or marketing analysis in a technical capacity.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA Marketing degree

• B2B environment using an indirect sales channel.

• Fire alarm or other technical field experience is helpful but not required

• NICET Certificate helpful but not required

• Outstanding writing and proof reading skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Expert in PowerPoint presentation preparation

• Exceptional organizational skills
