WE ARE SEEKING A DYNAMIC, ENERGETIC, DRIVEN SR PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER IN SMITHFIELD, RI!!!! The Manager will be responsible for strategic marketing activities for the Uvex Rx product line with a focus on driving sales and P&L objectives for the Rx product line. Oversees pricing decisions, forecasting, new product development, marketing communications, product segmentation, packaging and brand management. Provides focus for the organization on new competitive opportunities for assigned products. Works to develop and mentor Product Managers and provide guidance on a day to day basis. o Works with management to develop a strategic vision for the Uvex Rx brand and Rx product category. o Implement strategic directions approved by Management. Specifically focused on the Eyelation project launch in the 2012 year. o Create and maintain the marketing plan for markets served by current product lines. Manage marketing plan, forecasting, new product development, pricing, rationalization, modifications of existing products and other day-to-day activities. o Collect, analyze, collate and present relevant sales and marketing data for assigned product groups. Analyze trends and recommend remedial action. Analyze product performance; recommend additions and deletions to existing product lines. o Provide insight into existing items to maximize their sales and lengthen their life cycle. o Meet pricing, profitability, margin and other product objectives. o Work with Rx Specific sales personnel to identify opportunities, and demonstrate the viability and business case for proceeding forward with that opportunity. o Identify emerging markets, trends and applications internationally o Participate on sales calls with end users to determine unmet needs and new product development opportunities. o Work on development plans for Product Managers so we can retain and develop employees o Has responsibility for direct reports. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in Business, Marketing or related field 5 years experience in product marketing, product management and product development. 5 years experience in a leadership/management role. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Demonstrated leadership ability -Experience in the Rx or Optical industry -Strong knowledge of marketing analysis techniques -Working knowledge of standard business practices, including planning, finance and performance metrics -Good communications skills. - Strong planning and project management ability -Strong analytical skills. - Good relationship-building skills. - Must have strong presentation skills. -Complete familiarity with the Microsoft Office platform of products. - Travel up to 25% of time to include globally.
