The Redmond Washington facility has an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Assembler II.


Honeywell Aerospace is a $12 billion-plus Strategic Business Group (SBG) with 40,000 employees in over 125 domestic and international locations. We are a leading global aviation supplier designing, manufacturing and distributing advanced electronic systems, products and services to commercial, defense and space industries.


Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for the assembly of electronic equipment.


This position could be a first or second shift opportunity.


Responsibilities:



  • Under moderate supervision, candidate will be responsible for the assembly of electronic equipment.

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly.

  • May conduct quality inspection on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

  • At the intermediate level, follows defined procedures and processes using various equipment in order to complete tasks.

  • Supports Honeywell Operating System (HOS) Activities. Maintains 5S.

  • Intermediate understanding of Rapid Problem Solving; Understands visual management, uses visuals to manage cells and to escalate issues.

  • Good understanding of kanban card usage.

  • Utilize Built in Quality (BIQ) and Thought Process Maps (TPM).

  • Utilize HOS tools, skills and knowledge per HOS Development guidelines.

  • Receives general written or verbal instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments.

  • Interfaces with team members in order to solve defined issues and complete tasks.

  • Follows established guidelines, processes and procedures to resolve well defined issues and/or tasks.

  • Works on tasks that are semi-routine in nature where judgment is often required.

  • Problems are operational in nature and generally defined.

  • Work and communicate openly and clearly with Supervision and Workflow Specialists in order to meet Departmental & Production Goals & Objectives

  • Demonstrates ability to work within the team to achieve quality performance goals.

  • Flexible with overtime and shift coverage.

  • Works in production, manufacturing or fabrication area where exposure to machinery is common.

  • Responsibilities may involve physical strain (e.g. medium lifting)


Basic Qualifications:



  • Due to export compliance, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of assembly experience working in a manufacturing environment.


Additional Qualifications



  • Associates Degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, electro-mechanical, or related area preferred

  • Defense or Aerospace work experience desired.

  • Ability to obtain CE Certification
