Assembler Associate-Cutter Job Details

We are seeking an Assembler Associate-Cutter for our Dayton, OH facility. This will be a 2nd shift opportunity.

The Assembler Associate-Cutter will be responsible for the tasks necessary to cut pieces as well as the counting and inspecting of the products during the cutting process. The Assembler Associate-Cutter will be operating Gerber cutting table.

Summary of essential job functions

• Operates 2 hand clicker press in use of cutting fabric.


• Runs fabric across a box light in search of holes in fabric.


• Perform the various hand tasks necessary to cut products including turning the material, placing dies on fabric, smoothing out fabric, picking up cut pieces and stacking them, placing 2 hands on cutting triggers or brining the press head around, and removing scrap.


• Perform counting and inspecting of the product during the cutting process.


• Responsible for producing product type in the allotted takt time.


• Responsible for maintaining quality in cut products.


• Meet or exceed monthly productivity goals for the position as well as contribute significantly to department goals.


• Maintaining 5s of your work area.

Abilities:

• Ability to hear, understand, and act on verbal instructions.


• Ability to perform repetitive cutting of parts that require hand dexterity and concentration on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis.


• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.


• Ability to stand for an 8-10 hour shift.


• Ability to use both hands and all fingers for work throughout the processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to count accurately and visual acuity to inspect product during cutting process.


• Ability and willingness to work with other teammates to produce a quality finished product and maintain effective working relationships.


• Ability to work overtime if needed.


• Willingness to adapt to evolving job responsibilities and expand scope of experience as the company grows.
