We are currently looking for a Quality Technician for a permanent full-time position in the Switches / Electro-mechanical (EM) Value Stream in Freeport, IL.
This person will assist in:
• Providing Quality support for the Switch and Sensor businesses. • Support of Key Operational Metrics with emphasis on RMA turn times, PPM, COPQ and other cell metrics • Conduct returned Sales activity, including Failure Analysis and Corrective Action • Support resolution of product and quality system issues utilizing appropriate methodology and documentation. • Support of production quality through Honeywell Operating System (Lean methodology). • Development of and adherence to inspection plans and processes to support product quality
Please Note: This plant is an ITAR registered facility and the successful candidate will be a US Citizen capable of being ITAR certified.
Basic Qualifications: • 2-year Engineering or similar Technical Degree or • 5 years minimum functional experience in Quality/Manufacturing support role, in cross-functional team environment.
Additional Qualifications: • Knowledge of Operator Interface, Sealed and Un-Sealed OI (Operator Interface) switches and current Honeywell products desired. • Manufacturing process experience (experience within an industry with strict quality requirements preferred, ISO9001 or AS9100). • Previous exposure to TS-16949 QMS environment is a plus. • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Quality tools (8D/RCCA/RPS, FMEA, Process Map, Control Plan) • Professional quality certification (ASQ-CQT, CQA, or CMI desirable). • Ability to drive Root Cause and Corrective Acton (RC/CA) Activities. • Self-directed individual, able to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong inter-personal, teaming, and leadership attributes. • Ability to organize and prioritize daily activities with a long-term goal focus.
