This position will be located in Albuquerque, NM.

Position Overview
Person is responsible for software design activities (requirements development, software code, verification and validation, and product delivery).

Responsibilities
-Perform Software development activities such as requirements analysis, software code, software test, and test reviews.
-Perform hardware/software integration check-out in the lab; defect analysis and resolution.
-Plan and track assigned activities.
-Provide general program/requirements support.

-Work with distributed workforce to manage project cost, schedule and quality.

-Provide project progress reports to upper management

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or related field of study.

-Minimum 3.0 GPA.

-5 years of applicable software design, development, documentation, or test experience.

Additional Qualifications:

-General understanding of software Engineering in the certification process is preferred.

-Experience leading small development teams.

-Can use basic PC-based software tools for requirements generation, software coding, software test, and data analysis.
-Extra-curricular/leadership background; Internship experience is a plus.
-Good understanding of object-oriented computer language (C or otherwise) and script languages (Perl, Python).

-Experience developing software for iOS and Android operating systems is a plus

-Experience with software development processes, including model based development, is a plus.
-Good communication skills and the ability to work through complex issues.
-Strong interpersonal, communication, teaming, customer interaction, and personal leadership abilities.

-Applicant should be able to accept direction from functional leaders and work in a team environment.
-Ability to use of simulation and control analysis tools, general laboratory equipment, electronic test equipment, and computer operation.
-Having a private pilot's license or aviation experience is a plus.
