Job Description: 



This position plans and coordinates larger-scale, medium and small network/engineering projects while acting as a technical specialist/liaison between engineering and sales. The position administers and provides technical direction to network department personnel/engineers, maintains a thorough knowledge of new developments and technology and monitors projects and recommends changes to improve operating efficiency. Job functions include managing client driven network infrastructure projects, developing precise project plans and managing project scope, ensuring communication and delivery of design criteria and critical milestone dates, and resolving issues and barriers while leading a cross functional/organizational team.


Manages communications with Planning, Engineering, Network Operations, and Field Personnel. Responsible for coordinating the activities of cross functional groups to complete major projects that typically involve developing project activity schedules, establishing sub-committee hierarchy, monitoring progress, serving as a single point of contact for problem resolution.

Required Qualifications -


  • Understanding of Finance and Economic Analysis

  • Expert in Vendor Analysis

  • Understanding of IP Engineering Principles

  • Understanding of Network Equipment/Architecture systems and Operations

  • Expertise in Program and Project Management Experience

  • Associates degree in related field

  • Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role. Entry into this title may require TCP Governance Board Review

Desired Qualifications -


  • 5-8 years of experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Math or Engineering or Science

  • Six Sigma training, PMP and PE

  • Working knowledge of TIRKS, Outside Plant Engineering, Loop/IOF facilities and Central Office equipment.
