Job Description: 

Principle Member of Technical Staff*




This position will fill the following needs:


· Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. This person must be well versed in enterprise wide development and embedded system development and must have the ability to dig into a system, sift thru code, debug and analyze problems.

· Working with cross functional teams in the development and analysis of requirements in order to develop, execute, and document test cases and results. Develop and lead other team members with the development of test fixtures for rainy day scenarios that would occur in the ·

Writing and developing scripts to foster development and support activities Develop test case automation tools

· Design and implement a test platform (physical and application layer) ·

Develop, test, and support application / firmware code associated with system and components

· Support functional, approval for use, and End-to-End testing efforts ·

Develop, test, and support application code associated with modern radio encryption techniques

· Develop, test, and support application code associated with two-way radio frequency agility techniques

· Work with cross functional teams in the selection, development, and implementation of an EMS platform for the ·

Develop, test, and support the implementation of a framework associated with the lifecycle management of firmware, operating system (OS), JVM, and TR-069 components·

Working with cross functional teams in the development and analysis of requirements in order to develop, execute, and document test cases and results. Develop and lead other team members with the development of test fixtures for rainy day scenarios that would occur ·

Test and assure quality of hardware and software with a specific focus on interfaces to the in addition to the component level elements ·

Develop Installation MOPs

Applicants must have demonstrated in their past work experience their ability to work and lead technical teams.

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff you must have a Degree in an approved field from an accredited university as listed below:


Chemistry/Chemical Engineering Computer Engineering

Computer Science Electrical or Electronic Engineering

Industrial Engineering Linguistics

Mathematics Mechanical Engineering

Metallurgical Engineering Operations Research

Physicsii Software Engineering

Speech and Hearing Technology Statistics

Systems Engineering Telecommunications Engineering

Cognitive Psychology/Experimental Psychology/Human Factors




Required Qualifications


Entry into this title will require Technical Title Plan (TTP) Board Approval.

Candidate shall have a PhD in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

· B.S. in Computer service or Electrical Engineering

· Access network domain knowledge

· A minimum of 3 years of design, development, and software integration experience with various technology including C, C , C#, Visual Basic, ActiveX, ASP, .Net framework JAVA , JVM, JVM integration, and J2EE for the purpose of application and test harness use cases

· Working experience in the implementation of the OSGi framework as it pertains to the development of JAVA bundles

· Working knowledge of Linux (Fedora Core/RedHat)

· Working experience in database systems and database development

· Script development (e.g., sh/ksh/tcl)

· Working knowledge of modern electronic systems design related to consumer network routers, radio communications devices, and general consumer electronics equipment

· Working knowledge and practical experience in the development of test methodology, test plans, tool development, use of test tools, coding to APIs, test execution, and documenting test results of consumer electronics equipment including, but not limited to alarm system, network routers, radio communications devices, and general consumer electronics equipment

· Working knowledge of multimedia streaming

· Strong analytical, analytical, and leadership skills


Desired Qualifications:


· Linux Device Driver development

· Hands on electronics system testing and troubleshooting

· Experience with PIC Micro-programming

· Experience in the alarm system industry
