Job Description: 



Responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, and defining solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology. Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems. Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems.


Nature of Contribution- Seasoned technical professional who contributes through proven technical expertise. Has significant impact on department or function.


Knowledge � Subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge of other disciplines / specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge. Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge. Technical leader and recognized expert on select AT&T technologies, systems and/or procedures.

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T�s compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.



As a Senior Technical Architect / Client Technical Lead (CTL), the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of complex hosted solutions in a high profile multi-client PeopleSoft environment. The CTL will interface with internal as well as client technical staff for the purposes of troubleshooting, design and planning. The candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with other Technical Leads to ensure outstanding customer service to our clients and partners.



  • Responsible for full lifecycle PeopleSoft delivery and support in an enterprise level environment.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting within the PeopleSoft Center of Excellence to system configuration and performance issues providing detailed analysis.

  • Ensure the technical validity and completeness of Troubleshooting Guides, and client specific troubleshooting tools.

  • Apply patches and updates to client applications.

  • Participate in conference calls and communicate via email with customers.

  • Create documentation and online notes for others to utilize in support.

  • Provide on-call support for after-hours issues.


The preferred work location is Columbus, OH candidates in other locations (who will reside) may be considered if qualified candidate in preferred location is not identified.




Experience


  • Strong understanding of Unix (Solaris / Linux) and Windows operating systems

  • History of troubleshooting applications in a multi-tiered web/app/database environment

  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, BEA WebLogic, Apache, and PeopleSoft

  • Expert knowledge of Standard Unix text editing tools (ie, vi)

  • Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot networking and firewall issues

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications -


  • 5-8 years related technical architect experience.

  • Proficient in Network Management, Tools and Protocols (Configuration, IP Network Address Management, Performance Management).

  • Proficient in home and premise networking architectures, assessment and modeling.

  • Proficient in specifying and evaluating architecture requirements for RFXs.

  • Understands Virtualization, Storage and Content Deliver Networks (Cloud, CDM, Grid, SAN).


Desired Qualifications -


  • AS/BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field

  • Experience in building multiple versions of large customer facing systems addressing performance and scale.

  • Develops technical documentation on applications and systems

  • Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams

  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure (including blade center design, data warehouse design, Ebusiness/web hosting design, etc.)

  • Proficient in data communications protocols (TCP/IP, v4/v6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, GMPLS, etc.)

  • Knowledge in voice, video, and app technologies (circuit, VoIP, SIP, IMS, AIN, Camel, etc.).

  • Understands wireless technologies standards and protocols (3GPP, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, antennas, amplifiers, base stations, propagation, interference, spectrum).
