Job Description: 

Overall responsibility for systems availability, capacity planning and management, system performance, configuration, software and hardware for Genesys contact center based applications. Gathers, analyzes, and translates business requirements, technology trends, and current system constraints into overall system and technology requirements. Designs and develops systems, network, and automation architecture. Responsible for planning the implementation of new technologies and technology upgrades and consults with application development groups on strategies and architectures. Leads effort for technology product and standard selections and implements technology decisions. Oversees user admin (adds, changes, deletes, back-ups, file restores) in one or more operating environments. May work with the client organizations to analyze technical problems and recommend solutions. Provides support to Genesys based hosted contact center clients.. May provide technical leadership to a team of individuals.


Should possess current Genesys certifications. Candidates should have multiple current Genesys certifications: Certified Inbound Voice Consultant, Certified Inbound Voice Developer, Certified System Consultant for Genesys Info Mart, Certified System Consultant for Genesys SIP Server, Certified System Consultant for Genesys Voice Platform 8, Certified System Consultant Workforce Management, Framework and Routing Troubleshooting Specialist, iWD/eServices Specialists.



Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

Required Qualifications -


  • 8-10 years experience

  • Knowledge of UNIX-Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Windows, Linux)

  • Understanding of Change Management Life Cycle Principles

  • System Support and Trouble Analysis skills (root cause analysis, alarm management platforms, troubleshooting, etc)

  • 1st level vendor certifications

  • Sun Certified System Administrator

  • MCSE certified



Desired Qualifications -


  • BS in Engineering, Computer Sciences or other technical field

  • Knowledge of call processing

  • Server & System Administration skills

  • Knowledge of Analysis Tools (Access 7, GeoProbe, GSTool, RCATS)

  • Hardware installation and repair skills

  • Knowledge of OSI network protocol design

  • Hardware/software skills necessary to support the telephony/voice infrastructure (Aspect, Avaya, Cisco, Nortel)

  • Knowledge of Configuration, Backup, and Restoral processes necessary to support the telephony/voice infrastructure

  • Experience using and writing technical documentation

  • High level vendor certifications (i.e. CCNA)
