Job Description: 
AT&T AdWorks is transforming into a multi-billion dollar media solutions provider. The Associate Director, Marketing will play a key role in building our marketplace story and awareness around our multi-channel offerings across TV, online and mobile.

This individual’s core responsibilities will be to develop the strategy and manage creation of marketing materials across all platforms.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • In conjunction with product marketing, this individual will lead development of sale collateral, advertising and marketing materials across all products (tv, mobile & online).

  • Manage branding, naming, iconography etc. for key AT&T AdWorks products and initiatives

  • Partner with counterparts in the product group to define product value proposition and sales story

  • Manage development of ad sales/marketing materials including presentations, one-sheets, etc.

  • Create marketing plan for new product launches

  • Brief creative team on product benefits and specifications

  • Guide concept and design development of creative work

  • Write and/or approve copy for sales materials

  • Work with AT&T AdWorks stakeholders (Sales, Product Marketing, Legal, Corporate Communications and Privacy) to rollout marketing strategy

  • Update marketing materials to meet changing product and market needs

  • Maintain strong competitive intelligence, staying aware of innovative and effective marketing tactics

  • Identify and manage outside advertising agencies, branding agencies and freelancers as needed


The individual must be a detailed oriented planner and strong strategic thinker. A thorough understanding of the digital media industry including mobile, TV, online display and search are critical. An ability to translate the unique selling proposition of AT&T AdWorks products into high impact ad sales materials is a fundamental skill. This will be accomplished in close coordination with ad sales and product colleagues. Good backgrounds for this role could include agency account executive, sales/integrated marketing specialist or ad sales development exec. Experience in digital media or marketing required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of professional experience in marketing and/or media

  • Strong PowerPoint skills a must

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

  • Prior employment at a television network, ad agency or digital publishing a plus

  • Proven strong project management and problem solving skills including organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

  • Must be an effective communicator and strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to establish and meet deadlines and establish clear priorities quickly

  • Ability to work well with a wide variety of functional teams

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
