The Technical Sales Consultant (TSC) is a customer facing, technical sales resource that engages with various members of the Sales Team during the proposal/contracting phase of the sales process.

The TSC is responsible for understanding the solution from a technical and sales process perspective, especially where the solution spans multiple products. The TSC will engage the customer’s technical personnel during the final design phase to ensure that we have correctly captured all of the customer’s technical and operational requirements and have translated that into the final design and associated documentation (i.e. RDS/MDS, etc.).


The TSC will work with various internal teams to ensure they have the inputs and information necessary to move the solution through the delivery process and to ensure an optimal customer experience. The TSC will need to have a solid working knowledge of AT&T’s VPN ( AVPN, PNT, EVPN), Business VoIP ( IPFlex, VDNA, IPTF) and Ethernet (access and Metro E) offers and sales processes.


As a technical selling resource, it is expected that the TSC will look for areas where the solution can be enhanced and/or expanded either to better meet the customer’s requirements or to address new

requirements that may be uncovered during this final design phase.


The TSC is a Sales Compensated position and is tied to the success of the Sales Teams that they support as measured by their attainment against their Total Billed Revenue, New Sales Revenue and Growth Services objectives.
