3rd Shift Electronic Machine Builder - Minneapolis, MN

This position is located in our Minneapolis site and is a 3rd Shift position 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday thru Thursday - relocation is not available.



Assemble, calibrate, adjust, troubleshoot and repair a variety of components, devices and systems according to pre-determined specifications using the appropriate test equipment.



Job Responsibilities:


  • Assemble mechanical and/or electronic devices and assemblies referring to engineering specs, prints, layouts and/or verbal instructions.

  • Check and adjust for balance, alignment, tension, spacing, physical dimensions, outputs and adjustable parameters and record non-adjustable parameters.

  • Use a variety of manual and automated mechanical, electrical and optical checking equipment.

  • Calculate raw data and adjust/calibrate assemblies to achieve the final specification as required.

  • Check faulty assemblies using mechanical checking equipment.

  • Analyze and diagnose findings to determine defects and method of repair.

  • Disassembles, replaces parts, readjust and reassemble devices to complete repairs.

  • Perform electronic troubleshooting.

  • May assist or instruct other Electro-Mechanical Builders.

  • Handles lightweight parts and materials.

  • Works seated or standing.

  • Occasionally handles heavy fixtures.

Basic Qualifications:


  • For Export compliance, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Completion of Electronics AC circuit and DC circuit courses.

  • Can operate digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.

  •  3 years in mechanical and/or electronic assembly experience.


Additional Qualifications:


  • Good manual dexterity.

  • Must have fine motor skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • 2 years of electronic troubleshooting experience a plus.

  • Repair and Overhaul experience strongly desired.

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Understanding of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing desired.

  • Able to lift 35 pounds.
