Honeywell Specialty Materials, based in Morristown, N.J., is a global leader in providing customers with high-performance specialty materials, including fluorine products; specialty films and additives; advanced fibers and composites; intermediates; specialty chemicals; electronic materials and chemicals; and technologies and materials for petroleum refining. Honeywell Specialty Materials employs approximately 10,000 people at more than 80 manufacturing and sales facilities worldwide.

 

Human Resources Manager - Geismar, Fluorine Products:

 

This Human Resources Manager position provides HR support and leadership to the Geismar Louisiana Fluorine Products manufacturing facility. HR responsibilities include employee relations, performance management, learning and development, organizational effectiveness, and hiring/selection. The client group includes 275 employees at this non-union site. The HRM position is a key member of the site leadership team and reports directly to the Human Resources Director, Fluorine Products Integrated Supply Chain.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities: 


  • Partner with the plant manager and leadership teams to support plant and business objectives and strategic goals.

  • Identify needs and facilitate solutions to employee and leadership issues.

  • Drive key Human Resources initiatives (i.e., learning, diversity) and strategic processes (i.e., MRR, Compensation) across the site.

  • Coach site leadership to overcome barriers to change through an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving.

  • Responsible for ensuring that HR practices and programs are value-added in the areas of employee relations, compensation, benefits, communication, university relations, staffing, organization development and training.

  • Ensure a positive employee relations environment through strong relationships at all levels of the business.

  • Drive talent management including assessment, acquisition, development and redeployment.

  • Lead organizational effectiveness including change management, leader effectiveness, organization design, and HOS.

  • Responsible for performance management, organization assessment and talent upgrade plans

  • Foster employee engagement including communications, employee relations, facilitation of rewards and recognition, and employee involvement.

  • Manage employee and labor relations.

  • Develop and implement HR strategy, policies and processes.

  • Participate in and/or and lead SM HR projects and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organization Development, Business Administration or technical discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Human Resources Generalist

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. 


Additional Qualifications: 


  • Master's degree or MBA preferred

  • Action and results-oriented; strong bias for action

  • Communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

  • Coaching and leadership development skills
