Perform programming, set up, and operation of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) and conventional multi-axis machine tools to produce precision research models, highly complex mechanical test structures, fixtures and specimens used in developmental aerospace engineering testing associated with flight, ground and Lab systems, equipment and components. Plans sequence of operations, methods and organization of layout. Works to, "super-exacting" tolerances and dimensions from complex blueprints, rough sketches, loft lines, preliminary pre-release drawings, verbal instructions and other engineering information. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: An AA or other technical degree or equivalent plus at least one year of related experience. Also required is Mastercam experience. Requires proficiency in working with wood, metal, plastic, and composite materials. The candidate must be able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance. |
