Sr Automation Engineer FRAM Group, formerly known as Honeywell CPG, a New Zealand-based private company that invests across a variety of industries and aims to build and grow leading global businesses, including Reynolds Group Holdings, one of the largest packaging companies in the world. The Sr Automation Engineer will provide engineering leadership in the identification and development of new and existing production equipment and processes to achieve plant wide goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Continuous Improvement. Provide process engineering production-line support, including problem solving associated with machine throughput, downtime, product defects and safety issues. This includes support of in-house automation equipment, and the specification development, design review and validation of purchased equipment. The Sr Automation Engineer will: · Meet or exceed AOP commitments for key metrics · Formulate and install standard procedures and plans based on comparative analyses, methods, and costs · Drive for world class quality and safety utilizing root cause corrective action methodology · Facilitate a continuous improvement culture by instilling Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology · Create a work environment conducive to employee morale, motivation, and teamwork to accomplish performance objectives · Drive broader functional knowledge expertise and learning through the area of responsibility · Drive for standardized effective solutions to existing problems · Communicate goal progress and roadblocks to Engineering Manager · Establish and share best-in-class manufacturing processes with functional peers · Maintain all documentation required for ISO; participate in audits and Quality improvement activities as assigned. · Form effective working relationship with the union. · Commitment to achieve key performance metrics and drive for continuous improvement Basic Qualifications: · 5 years automation engineering experience · Bachelors degree in Engineering · Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift Additional Qualifications: · Leadership and integrity; manages by fact, achieves results, builds teams · Bias for action, assertive, decisive · Vision and purpose, provides direction, inspires, and motivates · Customer focus, meets expectations, internally and externally, forms partnerships · Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting ability, process oriented (Six Sigma BlackBelt or GreenBelt Preferred) · Industrial Control System Design (AB Hardware Preferred) · Ability to both Read and Create Electrical Schematics and Relay Logic · Knowledge of Motion Control, Induction and DC Motor Control · Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Actuator Control · Knowledge of Machine Guarding Systems and Power Distribution · Competent in Allen Bradley PLC Programming (Control Logix, SLC, PLC5) · Working Knowledge of Mechanical Systems as they Apply to Automation · Experienced with Automated Assembly Equipment As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we are committed to a diverse workforce. |
