Job Description: 

This position reports directly to the General Sales Manager, Local Premise Sales. The DSM will be directly responsible for managing a team of 8-10 Media Consultants.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsibilities include meeting revenue objectives, managing and developing Media Consultants and managing sales process, reporting and recruitment of sales talent.

2. Responsible for observing sales calls, coaching employees to optimize results and intervening to resolve performance problems.

3. Responsible for providing guidance and support to develop Media Consultant skill sets by coaching, demonstrations, training, preparation and planning reviews, post contact analysis, etc.

4. Administers performance reviews and takes corrective action as necessary.

5. Responsible for providing feedback to the marketing group concerning communication needs, product development and pricing.

6. Other management duties assigned as needed by GSM.
Qualifications:


  • 2 years previous sales management experience in media/ad sales, with verifiable proof of success.

  • 2 years business to business sales experience in a commission environment with proven results.

  • Highly organized and able to multi-task in an extremely fast paced environment.

  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written). This senior role interacts with clients and vendors on a daily basis.

  • The ideal candidate is motivated, resourceful and able to work both independently and within a team-oriented culture.

  • Responsibilities include management and development of Media Consultants.

  • Must be highly proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet.

  • Bachelors degree in a related field

  • Valid driver's license and proof of car insurance
