We have an immediate opening for a Sr. Production Supervisor within our Catalyst, Adsorbents and Specialties Business at our Chickasaw, Alabama site!!

This position will have accountability for the supervision of site operations in assigned areas on a shift basis to include those responsibilities below.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises, coaches & mentors personnel on safety, quality and productivity performance.
- Accountable for development and implementation of housekeeping plan.
- Assesses turnaround plans and monitors progress towards production goals.
- Monitors product quality & process data as per Standard Operating Instructions.
- Communicates daily with Shift Leader counterpart regarding quality, workload capacity, safety, staffing, and equipment problems.
- Supervises hourly employees on shift including performance management and related activities including annual performance assessments.
- Acts as management representative on plant property on nights and weekends therefore requiring strong leadership skills.
- Provides suggestions for more efficient operation, lower costs, improved quality or production rate or other innovations based on knowledge of process.
- Insures the preparation of production equipment and communicates the status of permitting and equipment preparation, per the MTL (Master Task List) for maintenance work that will be executed the following day.
- Supports Structured Safety Process by providing effective leadership through auditing life critical processes, completing safety discussions on a daily basis and promoting a safe work environment through positive behavior.
- Supports the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) by encouraging and promoting the use of Six Sigma Tools and HOS methods that will support quick problem resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 7 years manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Technically sound and capable of learning manufacturing processes quickly.
- Experience working in the Absorbents business within the Mobile facility.
- Strong knowledge of continuous manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capability to promote positive behavior through effective recognition.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Strong business acumen and ability to embrace and drive positive change within an organization.
- Six Sigma certification green belt preferred
