Human Resources Director We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Human Resources Director to support the Autolite Business Unit. This position has multi - site responsibility. It maintains R&D capabilities in the United States and Europe and has a manufacturing footprint in 10 countries worldwide. Reporting to the Human Resources Vice President, the Human Resources Director is responsible to lead HR strategy for both functional groups and operations teams in Perrysburg, OH. Involves facilitating solutions to employee and leadership issues; developing and implementing HR strategy, policies and processes; and proactive development and coaching of leaders and providing Labor Relations support to these unionized sites. Responsibilities: · As an integral member of the leadership team, helps to set and review company strategic objectives and targets · Accountable for delivery of all HR services including employee relations, communications, site leadership on benefit/compensation programs, learning, staffing, organizational and people development programs · Drive and deploy procedures and policies in all areas involving HR systems. · Serves as organizational consultant to managers, employees, outside agencies and others concerning HR related issues. · Develops and implements short/long term HR initiatives in support of business unit's strategic objectives. · Anticipates, identifies and directs the development of employee skills to support ongoing and future business needs. · Counsels and coaches employees, supervisors, and senior management in addressing interpersonal and behavioral challenges. · Manages employee relation issues, and serves as the investigative resource, coordinating with legal council on all related issues and litigation. · Applies a comprehensive knowledge of human resources disciplines, principles, and practices towards the completion of diverse and complex assignments/projects. · Recruit, select and retain leadership talent · Lead MRR (Mgmt Resource Review) process, salary planning, incentive programs, etc. · Provide consultation services for increased organizational effectiveness including assessment, contracting, action planning, evaluation and follow-up · Actively partner with function leaders to establish, implement and monitor short-term and long-term strategies for driving business results · Proactively promotes and maintains a Positive Employee Relations (PER) environment · Provide talent management expertise, workforce planning, skills assessment, succession planning, retraining programs, etc. · Provide organizational design expertise and change management facilitation to functions · Foster atmosphere of teamwork and development within HR team. · Provide the HR team with effective leadership, guidance, coaching, communication, learning and development · Monitor and evaluate goals; driving for standardized effective solutions to existing problems · Create a work environment conducive to employee morale and motivation to accomplish performance objectives through effective change management. Basic Qualifications: · 8 years Human Resources experience including prior leadership/management roles and Labor Relations. · Bachelor's degree · 5 years experience in a manufacturing facility · 5 years experience working in a union environment Additional Qualifications: · Customer focus, meets expectations, internally and externally, forms partnerships · Strong communication skills providing timely and concise information to others · Demonstrates the ability to identify and develop high talent people · Strong knowledge of lean, six sigma tools and problem solving methodology · Experience working in a QS9000/TS16949 or ISO14001 environment an asset · Bachelor's degree preferably with a concentration in Human Resources, Organization Development, Training, or related discipline · Certified Human Resource Professional designation As an Equal Opportunity Employer, FRAM Group is committed to a diverse workforce. |
