We currently have an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer at our facility in Franklin, PA.



Job Responsibilities:




  • Plan the equipment for new product launches

  • Confer with vendors to determine component specifications and arrange for purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and quality standards while meeting OSHA safety requirements.

  • Work closely with the Development Department to help determine component specifications and tolerances which are necessary for the proper performance of our product while considering the manufacturability of the product.

  • Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.

  • Conduct Hands-On training of operators and maintenance personnel to ensure that a consistent high level of performance of the equipment/processes is maintained.

  • Learn the current "state of the art" of the processes for which you are responsible.

  • Organize & lead related activities and projects associated with cost saving initiatives. This includes project tracking & documentation.

  • Document processes and critical machine parameters.

  • Benchmark other operations globally both within the company and outside the company to implement best practices.

  • Specify equipment that enhances our Lean Manufacturing approach

Basic Qualifications:



  • BS in Engineering degree

  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing engineering capacity.



Additional Qualifications:




  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and methodologies; 5S, Kaizen, SMED, process mapping etc.

  • Six Sigma certification a benefit.

  • "Hands on" skill set with a lead by example nature.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Project management skills; focus on objective target dates/milestones.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; must feel comfortable leading small cross functional teams of varied backgrounds and skill sets.

  • Willingness, desire and inclination to get involved with the many aspects of the operation without regular oversight.

  • Intermediate level computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office Suite
