This HR Director role provides overall HR leadership and generalist support for Honeywell Electronic Materials (~$375M) SBU within Specialty Materials. The successful candidate will partner with and support the Vice President/General Manager of the business to drive global business performance and execute upon the strategic human resource services delivery systems.
Provides a broad range of strategic HR support for achieving business objectives, including talent management (assessment, acquisition, development and redeployment), organizational effectiveness (change management, leader effectiveness, organization design), and employee engagement (communications, employee relations, facilitation of rewards and recognition, employee involvement).
Support to the businesses is a combined role supporting the leadership and commercial teams along with the Integrated Supply Chain organization with 12 plants.
The scope of employees covered in this role is approximately 925 employees primarily located in Arizona, California, Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas, China, Japan, China, Korea and Thailand and will require up to 20% travel to the various sites.
Responsibilities will include:
• Participate in the development and implementation of organizational talent strategy and planning
• Develop and implement career paths for direct reports and extended HR team
• Lead organizational and leadership development and effectiveness in ISC
• Lead HR processes, in partnership with Regional, Functional and COE HR leaders, including talent management, organization design, succession planning, learning, and compensation strategy and planning
• Supports Honeywell's key HR performance and talent management processes (MRR) for assigned client groups
• Understands and leverages the broader HR organization (specialist, functions/Centers of Excellence, shared services)
• Provides facilitation skills, maintains positive employee relations, and develops employee engagement and involvement
• Demonstrates strong influencing skills when interfacing with key leaders
• Accountable for delivery of compensation, organizational design and strategies for workforce planning and deployment
• Building global organizational capability through organization assessment, development of talent pipeline, and management of strategic staffing initiatives
• Demonstrating Honeywell core values and fostering Six Sigma Plus, Continuous Improvement, and Learning at all levels
• Fostering teamwork and career development within the extended HR team.
• Support the HR Transformation through creative partnering with the COEs and HR Shared Services
• Leadership development and coaching in client groups and extended HR team
• Talent acquisition, development, and retention
• Strategic HR leadership to support Growth and other key business objectives
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Organization Development, Learning, or related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years progressive professional Human Resources experience including prior leadership/management roles, site HR experience, and experience supporting global client groups
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree strongly preferred
