We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Dayton, OH facility.  This is a 2nd shift opportunity.

 

Job Duties:


  • Supervises team leads and team members in all ISC/production activities to achieve best-in-class processes and products.

  • Utilize Honeywell Operating System (HOS) techniques to meet or exceed HON metrics in safety, quality, delivery and productivity.

  • Responsible for Heath Safety Environmental (HSE) throughout department.

  • Instill "safety first" mindset within team.

  • Lead HSE initiatives.

  • Generate a minimum number of safety observations per employee per month.

  • Assist in the implementation of the Honeywell Operating System and lead the Tier 2 meetings.

  • Assure that all quality criteria are met in accordance with ISO9000 requirements.

  • Maximize first pass yield in all product lines without sacrificing HSE or Quality.

  • Direct, supervise and monitor activities of leads and team members to maximize productivity in the plant.

  • Ensure procedures are in place and followed in compliance with all HON, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.

  • Prepare/coordinate production schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed.

  • Evaluate production needs for daily assignment of duties, adjustment as required.

  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

  • Encourage continuous improvement activities and seek opportunities and initiate action for process improvement.

  • Serve as resource for Leads and team members to drive improvement opportunities.

  • Leadership of Five S activities.

  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.

  • Represents site management during off shifts.

  • Coach team on HON behaviors and metrics.

  • Encourage/provide development opportunities.

  • Provide supervision in scheduling, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management.

  • Coordinate with Leads to ensure proper orientation, assimilation and training of new team members.

  • Maintain time and production records.

  • Implement policies and procedures as they relate to employees.

  • Must have working knowledge of job functions within accountability.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years sewing supervisory experience in sewing manufacturing environment; or a minimum of 10 years supervisory experience in a progressive manufacturing environment.

  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing concepts including Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, ISO9000 and ERP systems.
