This is an exciting time to join Honeywell's Americas Electronic Operations group! This is a great position to showcase your skills in a highly visible role.



Honeywell Aerospace is a $10B SBG (Strategic Business Group) with 40,000 employees in over 125 domestic and international locations.  We are a leading global aviation supplier designing, manufacturing, and distributing advanced electronic systems, products, and services to commercial, defense and space industries.

 

This is a 3rd shift position: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM. Assigned shift will be after initial training period of up to 6 months, which will take place during varying shifts.  The position is located in Minneapolis, MN; no relocation is available for this role.

 

Responsibilities:





  • Somewhat diversified work to set-up and operate and maintain such machines as drill press, hand screw, punch press, spot welders, engravers, shapers, lathes, tappers, hobbers, grinders, glass polishing machines, and several types of milling machines, following prescribed procedures and/or standard shop practices.

  • Judgment to set up machines, make and check parts to maintain quality standards and to report troubles to Group Leader and/or Supervisor for analysis and remedy.

  • Must be willing and able to work in a "work cell" environment and dedicated to high quality of work.

  • Machine Shop working environment.

  • Typical dexterity to set up and operate miscellaneous equipment.

  • Must work with coolant and oil materials.

  • Must wear safety glasses with side shields and other PPE as required.

  • Oversee general housekeeping practices in group.

  • Average to heavy weight lifting required.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Due to DoD Security Requirements, US Citizenship is required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Vocational training with a minimum of 30 credits in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent including Geometric dimension/tolerance, gauge & measurement usage involving Flatness & Parallelism. 


Additional Qualifications


  • Machine shop experience strongly desired.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft WORD and Excel.

  • Good hand/eye coordination.

  • Fine motor skills used with microscopes, Optical processing is a benefit.

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance.

  • Ability to work a non-standard workweek, including Saturday and/or Sunday, any shift, and periodic overtime.
