Provide all-source analysis of the military and security forces leadership across the Middle East North Africa region with emphasis on Iran. Analysis will include writing biographies, performing leadership database maintenance, and providing social network analysis of military leaders. The analysis shall provide dynamic and comprehensive assessments of key military leaders and in particular, their role in the regime, views of democratic transition, and views of the United States. Additionally, analysts will support data basing efforts by searching message traffic describing discrete military events and entering data into fields of an already developed SharePoint site. Mid-level analytical support required on military leadership and military capabilities issues.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 1. B.S. degree (in Political Science, International Relations, Intelligence or a related subject is most desirable) and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required. An additional four (4) years of related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement. 2. TS/SCI clearance is required. 3. The ability to work in crisis situations and be able to travel, perform shift work, and/or weekend work. 4. A strong background in the Middle East or Military/Strategic Issues. 5. Analytical experience including the ability to identify significant intelligence trends and propose new or revised analytical products to alert decision makers to new developments and to meet customer requirements. 6. Strong skills on oral and written communication required to effectively defend controversial intelligence positions; presenting and defending an organization’s position at conferences, working groups, and planning sessions; presenting briefings at the highest echelons both within and outside DoD; and preparing intelligence products for both lay and scientific audiences.
