This Position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology plus a minimum of ten years of related professional experience. Experience leading an engineering group is required. Experience reviewing design proposals and drawings, developing design models/drawings, technical specifications, analyzing and resolving design and production issues in the areas of communications systems and related electrical systems and components. QA checking of schematics/wiring diagrams, system diagrams and 3D models. Technical writing and customer relations skills are essential. Concentration in electrical power designs/systems and CAD experience is a plus. Basic knowledge and understanding of computers and systems is required. Experience and skill in troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems related to AC/DC power, serial communication, RF and fiber-optic systems is desired. Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a scientific/engineering team environment. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in order to communicate well and interact successfully with all levels of the organization and external customers. Must be able to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks. Possess technical flexibility and willingness to learn. Some travel may be required. An ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
