The Metropolis Site, located in Southeast Illinois, is one of the manufacturing facilities supporting the Honeywell Fluorine Products business, a $900 million business segment of Specialty Materials. The site has a total of approximately 350 Honeywell employees and currently manufactures a variety of products that support the refrigeration, nuclear and specialty fluorine markets.


 


We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources/Payroll Clerk at our Metropolis, Illinois facility.


 


Responsibilities Include:



  • Compiles payroll data, and enters data or computes and posts wages

  • Reconciles errors

  • Maintains payroll records, using computer or calculator

  • Compiles payroll data, such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and union dues to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.

  • Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions, using calculator, and posts to payroll records.

  • Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.

  • Records changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.

  • Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments.

  • Must be able to prorate expenses to be debited or credited to each department for cost accounting records.

  • Must be able prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.

  • Must keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.

  • Must be able to reconcile issues.

  • Responsible for the publishing of Operational/Maintenance Hourly schedules on a Weekly or as needed basis. These schedules MUST be error free and accurate.

  • Monitor attendance of Hourly Associates.

  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed highlighting Contractual violations.

  • Creates and process invoices for payment in SAP as needed.

Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma

  • 2 years experience with KRONOS or other payroll system required

  • 2 years payroll experience required

  • 2 years experience and knowledge of SAP or other ERP System required.


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associates Degree in Business or related field.

  • Proficient in mathematics, and MS Office Suite.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles is essential.
