Sensing and Control (S&C) is one of the world's leading suppliers of sensors, switches, and controls products for a variety of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) applications in the automotive, transportation, medical, aerospace, industrial and consumer businesses. S&C is a global business with 20 manufacturing locations



We're looking for an HR Manager who will report to the Direct of  Human Resources located in Minneapolis, MN. The incumbent is responsible for developing HR strategies for the Test and Measurement Business Unit and the Columbus, OH manufacturing facility. This position will also work with HR Center of Excellence (COEs) and regional HR Operations teams to manage the effective acquisition, development and management of talent in the organization.



Primary Responsibilities of this role will include:



1. HR Strategy Development / Execution: Develop and execute HR strategies in support of business STRAP and AOP objectives in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, compensation and organizational development. Work with client groups to:


  • Drive a culture of growth, meeting commitments, and positive employee relations

  • Support business development activities and strategy development including due diligence and divestitures

  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their organization, at all levels (e.g., evaluation of cost, clarifying roles and responsibilities, organization design, etc.)

  • Implement consistent and meaningful leadership communication processes


2. Project Management: Provide support for transitions including assessing and developing organizational plans and support/ management of impacted employees. Ability to of plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives




3. Talent and Organizational Development. Conduct organization assessments and upgrade talent through strategic staffing and talent pipeline development


  • Lead the functional Management Resource Review (MRR) process and ensure appropriate linkages with broader functional and business reviews

  • Facilitate alignment of organizational processes, systems and culture with key business priorities, design optimal organizational structures understand organizational and cultural needs and drive change management efforts (including HR portion of HOS)

  • Work with leadership to manage talent development (mentoring, leadership development programs, university recruiting, etc.)

  • Increase employee engagement and commitment




4. Effective HR Execution. Work with regional HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to ensure the effective delivery of HR support/services to the business


  • Provide sound advice and counsel to management in all employee relations matters

  • Act as personal coach and confidant for local site management

  • Achieve positive employee relations; effective management of three bargained-for sites

  • Partner with the Staffing COE to ensure flawless execution of staffing processes for at all levels within the business and develop staffing strategies to ensure a robust pipeline of quality candidates. Assist manager in talent selection and slating & follow process as defined by staffing COE

  • Program management of key HR initiatives within the business (compensation program development, site transitions, key staffing initiatives)



5. Functional Excellence. Support the drive for standardization of key processes.


  • Active engagement in Honeywell HR functional transformation initiatives.

  • Support SBU as well as Honeywell HR initiatives across the functions


All qualified candidates should be legually authorized to work in United States 

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Employment Relations, Organizational Development or a related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of human resource generalist experience




Preferred Qualifications:

 


  • Master's degree or MBA in Human Resources or Labor Relations

  • Specialist experience in staffing, benefits, compensation.

  • Excellent communications skills.

  • Ability to influence multiple parties through leadership skills.



  • Ability to work and navigate in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Previous experience in a field plant is highly desired
