Quality Site Leader



The position located in Urbana, OH reporting to the America Electronics Service Centers (AESC) R&O Site Leader and the AESC Quality Director located in Phoenix AZ. The Urbana Services Quality Leader is ultimately responsible for driving strategic quality initiatives while working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers. The position has the responsibility to identify opportunities and provide leadership to make quality a competitive advantage for the Urbana Service Center.



Responsibilities:





  • Ensure Quality Management System is approved, understood and executed by associates in the R&O organization, with special emphasis on product and processes in accordance with FAA Part 145/Part 43, AS9100, AS9110 and/or customer and regulatory requirements as necessary.

  • Member of the site leadership team for HOS deployment and actively participate in organizational drive for continuous improvement and standardization

  • Accountable for implementing and proper execution of the internal and external audit program to measure the overall compliance and effectiveness of the site from a Quality Management System and Regulatory perspective.

  • Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance R&O on-site as well as interface with manufacturing to ensure proper flow of information and data for continued through life product support

  • Manage the quality assurance team of approximately 2-10 people

  • Review contractual documents to ensure compliance to customer requirements, FAA regulatory and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Document work through work instructions and policy and procedures and ensure proper implementation of those requirements.

  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, R&O product lines and OEM manufacturing to resolve quality related issues and lead root cause/corrective actions to prevent recurrence through eCats.

  • Respond to Atlas requests related to quality issues and communicate the level of customer satisfaction (VOC)

  • Identify and execute projects leading to standardization, simplifying and improving existing quality systems

  • Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to address containment and prevent future defects

  • Support and understand Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) program and philosophy

Basic Qualifications:

 


  • Due to ITAR and Export restrictions, must be U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident

  • Bachelor degree; or 4 years of avionic regulatory experience in lieu of degree.

  • 5 years experience in a technical field with regulatory governance accountability


 

Additional Qualifications:

 


  • 2 years of management/leadership experience preferred

  • Blackbelt preferred

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations with special emphasis on FAR Part 145/Part 43 and Part 21.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated organizational, planning and program management skills with careful attention to detail.

  • Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all levels

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to communicate ideas with clear understanding of audience and gain commitments that are critical to the success of the organization

  • Good computer skills with competency in using MSOffice suite and other software programs as necessary

  • Good analytical skills


 All applicants for placement in DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test, testing for Amphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana, Opiates and Phencyclidine (PCP). The DOT/FAA regulations require all employees, regular and temporary, in safety-sensitive positions, to be included in the Honeywell Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan.
