Position Overview: Controller responsible for the division office and for ensuring that adequate internal controls that meet SOX compliance are in place and practiced across the entire division. Providing support from the financial function standpoint, delivering on key initiatives, and driving the business strategy. Essential Job Functions: Management: · - Meeting or exceeding Global Group P&L and Balance Sheet targets. · - Setting Global Group aggressive annual & strategic business targets to ensure profitable growth and provide leadership and vision to support the achievement of them. · - Review of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial performance with CPS senior management and responsible to plan and execute appropriate actions, as necessary. · - Act as Merger & Acquisition Team member responsible for identifying all options available to the Global Group regarding acquisition and divesting opportunities. · - Provide direction and counsel to Management on issues and situations which impact present and future performance of the Group. · - Manage and develop Finance and Accounting employees within the functions of Financial Analysis, General Accounting, Financial Reporting and Administration, and Capital planning. · - Respond to inquiries from other departments regarding financial, customer, and internal needs. Finance · - Assist the FP&A manager in preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each of the individual entities/plants and consolidated Global Group financial statements in adherence to US GAAP. · - Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the division office cost centers. · - Responsible for identifying, reporting, and mitigating financial risks including currency & commodity hedging. · - Quarterly peer/competitor analysis to ensure world class benchmarking performance. · - Development and compliance of appropriate Transfer Prices and compliance to Global rules and regulations. · - Prepares all audit and tax schedules and coordinates all SOX, internal, and external audits. · - Work with marketing, production, and sales to maintain an accurate forecasting tool (S&OP) to be used by the organization for forecasting and production planning. · - Deliver accurate and timely information to Division Staff relating to financial information, tax information and other data as required. Internal Controls · - Ensure that Global Group ethics, regulations, and compliance to corporate policies and guidelines are followed. · - Maintain proper internal controls and related documentation to ensure that CPS is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant. · - Direct and participate in the development and implementation of accounting and operations systems, processes and procedures · - Design and implement reporting and control systems/procedures such that the key indicators of operating performance can be monitored, reported on, and corrective action can be implemented on a timely basis Leadership Competencies: (Please check all that apply) Delivers Commitments ___X__ Customer & Commercial Centric ___X__ Action Oriented & Energetic __X___ Change Management _____ Communication __X___ Continuous Improvement ___X__ Adaptable ___X__ Analytical ____X_ Technical Excellence __X___ Intellectual Horsepower _X____ Strategic _X____ Motivating Others __X___ Teamwork ___X__ Job Requirements : Controller - DivisionMinimum Qualifications (Experience, Education, Training, etc.): · Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting and 8-10 years accounting and/or financial analysis experience is required. · MBA or CPA certificate is a plus but not necessary with proven, successful work experience. · Finance and/or Accounting experience within a manufacturing organization are a plus. · Budgeting, forecasting and reporting experience is preferred.
