Kraft Foods, Inc. the nation's premier food & beverage co., is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Flavor's & Ingredients Business at the Woburn, MA's plant's operation in a variety of activities to include quality, cost delivery, safety and morale with a rotating 24X7 work schedule in a unionized facility. Under the supervision of the Business Unit Manager, the Operations Supervisor directs the activities of the department in areas of Production, Maintenance and Quality. The Operations Supervisor is to produce products efficiently and safely within established policy and processes. Advises and assists Business Unit Manager as a member of her/his team. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Ensure compliance with established procedures, work instructions and specifications. Check quality of products manufactured. Coordinate Quality efforts of all operations in their area during manufacturing in order to meet product specifications and customer requirements. Participate or lead in developing corrective and preventive actions as well as any other type of measure to correct or improve product or process quality and monitor implementation and effectiveness. Participate in the team responsible for managing critical situations potentially impacting product quality and retrieval of product, if necessary. QUALITY Implement and monitor the Quality System and ensure conformance within the appropriate department. Work towards process and product improvement. Coordinate follow-up and ensure effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions as well as any other measure aiming to correct or improve quality of products and processes. COST Obtain low cost producer status on all SKU's. Lowest inventory levels of packaging, raw and finished goods. Support Process Team initiatives. DELIVERY Achieve compliance to schedule targets. Hold Line techs, operators responsible for both quantity and quality of work performed. Be responsive to stakeholder needs and inquiries. SAFETY Zero lost time accidents. Zero recordable accidents. All satisfactory on safety audits 100% attendance at all scheduled safety meetings (supervisors, safety reps and associates). Address all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. Insure no safety inspection items repeat on next inspection. MORALE Be present on a regular basis in their areas, with their customers and associates. Insure associates have the proper tools (equipment, training, support, etc.) to support their areas. Provide superb service to all customers, both internal and external. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field, engineering degree preferred. Ability to work all shifts including weekends and overtime, strong accountability skills, excellent communication skills, coaching/developing skills, and technical knowledge of manufacturing environment. 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience desireable.
