Job Description Working closely with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics’ Americas Leadership Team and HR management, this management role is responsible for the development, governance, and execution of Siemens DX North America incentive compensation programs. • Monitor effectiveness of incentive compensation plans, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost-effective and in line with company objectives. • Implement and execute Incentive Compensation plans in line with company mandated deadlines. • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) pertaining to the Siemens DX North America Incentive Compensation Plans. • Develop strong relationships with Management, Sales, Marketing and Finance Organization(s). Job Family Requirements: • Manage Incentive Compensation department, reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations, North America. • Manage mid-sized department of diverse backgrounds, focused on the development, governance, and execution of Siemens DX North America incentive compensation programs. • Manage department resources primarily located in Tarrytown, NY, with limited individual department members located in other Siemens facilities within the USA. • Manage department operations and personnel including retention and development of talent, recruitment of personnel, and management of department expenses within budget. • Ensure alignment and compliance with Siemens policies, procedures and business strategies. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with DX Americas Leadership Team (ALT) and HR management to develop effective incentive compensation programs, with emphasis on performance in line with strategic business priorities. • Provide consulting on incentive plan design, target pay mix and eligibility based on business needs and market analysis. In limited instances, may identify external resources to consult on unusual situations. • Develop and maintain incentive plan terms and conditions documents for incentive compensation programs in the USA. Works with HR partners to ensure terms and conditions are compliant with employment laws. • Establishe processes and policies for the approval of new or updated incentive programs and facilitates the approval process, ensuring policies are followed. • Analyze historical performance and available market data to determine competitive compensation plans to meet strategic business priorities. • Collaborate as a team member on incentive plan automation and reporting projects. • Directly manage the Incentive Compensation Department to assure all calculations, rankings, and payouts are completed in accordance with approved Incentive Compensation plans. Ensures that calculations, and payouts are completed accurately and within business mandated deadlines. • Take steps to mitigate or eliminate any features of plans that could encourage the manipulation of earnings or encourage unnecessary and excessive risks that could threaten the value of the Company. • All other responsibilities as assigned. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in a financial or analytical area desired. MBA or Masters of Finance a plus. Knowledge and Experience: • At least seven years experience in the development and management of sales incentive compensation plans, programs, and departments. Experience in Healthcare industries a plus. • A track record of successfully developing innovative and well implemented compensation plans that positively impact employers' business. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with a variety of applications and reporting tools (Expert level Excel and PowerPoint skills required; SAP, MS Access, and Data Warehouse systems desired) • Effective communicator with good interpersonal and negotiation skills. • Detail oriented and self-motivated professional. • Previous experience working directly with senior management. • Expert strategic, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead diverse department. Must be a proven, effective Manager. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to improve department methods and efficiency. • Demonstrated ability to producing accurate, high-quality, value-add results, in a fast-paced, continually changing work environment. Direction of Others: As head of the Incentive Compensation department, manage, guide and mentor department personnel. As Subject Matter Expert (SME) pertaining to the Siemens DX USA Incentive Compensation Plans, collaborate with, advise, and guide Management, Sales, Marketing and Finance Organization(s). Key Working Relationships: Primary customers for this position are Siemens DX North America Management and personnel governed by Incentive Compensation plans, as well as other Siemens organizations with interest in Siemens DX North America operations and performance including Finance, Global Marketing, and Global Customer Management. |
