Job Description This position is open to candidates in the Detroit, MI metropolitan area. This sales specialist will manage a complex and technical sales cycle with the objective of meeting or exceeding sales quota; sales targets include multilevel technical, clinical and financial decision makers in hospital and private laboratories for the Hemostasis, Hematology and Urinalysis (H2U) sales markets; successfully develop strong customer relationships to enhance the position of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics and negotiate long-term, multi-product corporate agreements for capital equipment sales and reagent supply; grow the business in the current customer base and expand market share; implement and drive the overall H2U plan in the specific territory; develop target account lists, forecasts, implement sales strategies and tactics and meet assigned financial targets; obtain and collect regular updates on market trends and customer needs and maintain regional market share statistics. Requirements include: proven strong sales skills, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills; prefer candidates with 2+ years of medical capital sales experience; strong verbal and written communication skills must be demonstrated; interpersonal skills are essential, and the individual must be able to work well with customers, peers and management; proven ability to develop and deliver on accurate sales forecasts and manage operating expenses; must have desire to enter a very competitive market; computer skills are a must, BA/BS degree required in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or Medical Technology. Med techs with sales experience are encouraged to apply. Clean driving record over the last three years is required. Geographic coverage generally includes the Detroit area, Michigan's "thumb" and the northern portion of the State of Michigan (excluding the U.P.). |
