Job Description

The Microbiology/Molecular Sales Specialist is a key interface between the customer and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. Their responsibilities include:
- Achieve sales and profit objectives while maintaining base business.
- Generate and develop qualified targets through detailed needs assessment and professional relationship building.
- Manage the account throughout the entire sales cycle. Product specialists and other support staff may assist with the sale but it is the Microbiology/Molecular Sales Specialist that carries primary responsibility.
- Ensure maximum customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of customer problems and concerns.
- Fluent knowledge of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostic product lines (especially MicroScan, Walkaway, Versant 440, Trugene and Lipa), competitive offerings/strategies and the diagnostics marketplace as a whole.
- Accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.
- Internalization of Siemens Vision, Values and Beliefs in all day-to-day activities.
- Adherence to Siemens Safety and Workplace Diversity guidelines.

Requirements include BA/BS Degree in Science, Business or Marketing; 1 - 3 years of successful sales experience with medical equipment, devices or capital equipment; proven successful sales record; strong presentation skills required; ability to meet with various levels or decision makers; excellent organizational skills required along with ability to multitask; proficient with Word, Excel, Powerpoint andOutlook; must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Territory includes the States of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, western Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Position will be based out of the Minneapolis metro area.
A clean driving record within the last 3 years is a requirement for this position.
