Job Description The Aftermarket Sales Support Specialist is an exempt position that reports to the Aftermarket Director. The Sales Support Specialist manages and coordinates the day to day activities of aftermarket initiatives aimed at incremental growth. Among these are the coordination of Field Services leads and aftermarket activities, and the Water Mall website implementation. Marketing activities and metrics are also part of this function. Identifying and targeting potential customers based on generated leads and assisting the account management team on follow up and order closure is key to the success of the position. Planning and implementing marketing materials and product offerings in order to optimize the overall installed base of the targeted product lines is also an important part of the job. The Sales Support Specialist reacts to feedback and leads from various sources in the Aftermarket and Services groups and aids in their conversion to orders. Proactively engaging customers in the installed base is essential for growth and is promoted at this position level. Interaction daily with purchasing, engineering, planning, project managers, customers and vendors will be necessary, to ensure the production of incremental aftermarket growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND OUTPUTS · Assists Director Aftermarket in achievement of incremental growth goals · Manages, monitors and controls bids and project schedules, budgets, warranty, and on-time shipments. · Proactively seeks out and engages existing customers and prospects through calls; e mail, website etc, and brings in qualified leads to the A.M. account management team. · Handles telephone inquiries with an eye toward new/incremental business growth. · Manages all field services and contract service leads to ensure rapid closure of orders. Coordinates execution. · Generates project estimates using in-house estimating tools and programs. · Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual reports relating to aftermarket team incremental sales performance and results. · Supports order quoting and pricing, tracking, and closing of all leads through the incremental channels. · Collects data from all incremental A.M. sales channels, and works toward order conversion. · Will be responsible for an assigned sales quota. · Works with purchasing to ensure delivery schedules are met, and held. · Acts as a support resource for other account management personnel. Takes calls for them as required. Provides help to each on website issues. · Participates in team meetings and presentations. · Follows written corporate and department procedures. Identifies and makes changes to procedures when required. · Assists in vendor management when required. · Captures and updates all required marketing materials and helps account management by providing customized materials for each. Helps set up web pages for all international customers and prospects. Ensures follow up on all closed projects and makes first contact with parts and services personnel at new customer locations. · Performs semi complex work within area of specialization. Looks for best practices and brings them to the forefront for group usage. Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes steps to resolve them. EDUCATION Requirement: Bachelor's degree in related field. |
