Job Description Summary: The VP of Engineering in this role will be responsible for the SYNGO US R & D organization and all product groups including Syngo Workflow SLR, Syngo Dynamics, CVIS, and CAD. Functionally this includes research, development / implementation, test, and project management. Description: This role includes direct functional responsibility for teams in Malvern and Ann Arbor, and indirect functional responsibility for offshore development teams in Bangalore, India and Budapest, Hungary. The role reports functionally to SYNGO head of R&D in Erlangen. It requires close collaboration with Erlangen HQ in all aspects of worldwide SYNGO R&D tasks and processes. The SY US R&D head will have financial responsibility for factory budgets and costs and shared responsibility for overall SY P&L for 3 US product lines. Financial responsibility is approximately 25M EUR. Head count responsibility is approximately 260 people in Malvern, Ann Arbor and India. Responsibilities: • Manage three product R&D organizations to drive strong development and release of products into the SY portfolio. • Drive a culture of on time delivery of programs while still providing the appropriate scope and quality to enable and grow the business. • Drive a focus on maximizing development efficiency at the highest quality. • A key requirement will be to look for synergies across product development groups. • An important task is to ensure there are the right people in the right places to maximize the output of the organization. (People development) • A second task is to ensure an organizational structure that enables efficiencies and synergies in development • An additional important task is to ensure we have the right development processes in place for the US organization, and to ensure complete alignment of process with Erlangen and Bangalore. |
