Job Description:  The Nestlé Quality Assurance Center of Dublin, OH (NQAC Dublin) provides specialized laboratory services that help ensure Nestlé products are safe, satisfy all applicable regulatory guidelines, and meet the quality expectations of our customers and consumers. NQAC was established in the 1950s to support the Marysville, OH manufacturing plant and has evolved over time to become the present-day, A2LA-accredited Nestlé Quality Assurance Center - providing a wide array of key analytical and technical support to all of Nestlé's Zone Americas operation.


POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing strategic direction and tactical support to the Nestlé Quality Assurance Center's salaried & non-exempt associates and management & lab human resource teams with regards to compensation, performance management, associate relations, workforce planning, policy interpretation, leave management, investigations, recruiting, training and development and employment law.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Staffing: Manages recruitment and selection of talented associates; workforce planning strategies.

Associate Relations: Acts as a liaison for understanding and resolving associate concerns and issues; promotes team effectiveness; manages internal communications; manages rewards for leveraged performance; coaches and counsels managers and associates on various employment issues and concerns; promotes recognition programs and conducts internal surveys and research on cultural climate and HR effectiveness in division. Consistent interpretation of policies and procedures. Monitor and provide feedback regarding use of policies, procedures and programs and propose improvements. Coordinate employee relations programs such as employee meetings; off-sites, Division lunches, Division HR Conferences, etc.

Risk Management and Governance: Assesses legal and ethical risks and prevention; ensures compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations; conducts internal investigations; ensures EEO compliance including Affirmative Action Plans and diversity goals; manages and executes all restructuring activities.

Business Results: Assists with managing Division HR budget and expenditures; leverages technology for business performance; manages HR metrics and communication of results for Division; participates in activities around factory expansions, closures, divestitures and acquisitions.

Performance & Development: participates in divisional long-term planning and strategy development; be a change agent; participates in functional and total organizational structure design; performance management; development and training of associates; and participates in succession management process for the division.


SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Receive direction and counsel from HR Director and Field HR Manager.


SUPERVISION GIVEN

Provide direction and counsel to the HR Administrative Assistant.


FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT

Responsible for assisting with HR budget development and budgetary controls; financial implications based upon legal impacts influenced by this decision-maker.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL

Minimum education level: Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resource Management. At least 3 years of generalist HR experience; field/manufacturing plant experience preferred.


EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of state and federal laws, compensation practices and health and welfare benefit programs. Demonstrated recruiting experience. Ability to deal with difficult associate issues, conflicts and concerns. Ability to deliver training. Experience with development of associates.


SKILLS

Microsoft Office; HRIS preferably Peoplesoft and/or SAP. Mathematical abilities to perform moderately complex salary calculations; benefit administration and forecasting of departmental expenses. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization. Ability to work closely with management and leadership teams. Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, problem solving and decision making abilities. Must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills; detail oriented, ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously. Ability to work in collaborative team environment.
