Job Description Specific Requirements A Software Test Engineer 4 will be required to design, develop, test and support a suite of test procedures for the Soarian Financial Software product line. They will also be required to participate in the Scrum methodology for software development performing continuous integration testing as well as regression integration testing and system testing (workflows) during the System Test period. The successful candidate will also be required to utilize the latest testing tools and techniques to produce high quality deliverables to stakeholders. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in Testing field and successful demonstration of Responsibilities and Capabilities noted below. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable. Profile: •Demonstrated knowledge in software testing methodologies and processes. *Experience working in a large Global Enterprise level multi-release software project. *Detail Software Test Design Experience •Software testing experience in regression, integration, system and interface testing phases. •Experience with various industry software testing tools. •Knowledge of healthcare standards and practices. * Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle software package capabilities and functionality, ideally the candidate has participated either in the development, testing or implementation of software. Some of the areas include but are not limited to registration, insurance verification, coding, medical records, billing, and account follow-up and collections *Strong understanding of revenue cycle and hospital billing front-end / back office functions * Experience in US Healthcare domain is desirable in one or more of the following: Ambulatory/Physician practices, Revenue Management , Contract Management /Modeling, General Ledger * Financial Services experience or Financial auditing experience. •Knowledge of IT system in the healthcare industry. •Knowledge of software development life cycle working with software developers and product analyst. •Knowledge of software test automation processes •Communicate on various levels with peers, management and stake holders. Responsibilities: •Research changes or enhancements to software product line for multiple existing or new features. •Apply analysis concepts, techniques, tools and standards to support assigned projects. •Research new function and/or process enhancements •Prepare detailed project status reports as assigned •Prepare detailed testing and other documentation, as required •Participate in project requirements definition •Verify and editing test data in new or existing systems •Write comprehensive application quality assurance test plans * Execute Test Procedures, debug issues, read log files and open defects in Defect tracking system •Test and verify system and database models to ensure quality and integrity •Participate in continuous process refinement and improvement •Participate in design sessions and serves as a department representative •Implement software testing processes and best practices. •Research and advise management on latest software test trends as well as market needs. •Implement the test strategy (architecture, framework, tools, etc). •Prepare detailed analysis and design artifacts using modeling tools •Maintain domain and technology expertise by keeping current with evolving testing methodologies and healthcare standards. Required Capabilities: •Strong organizational skills (multi-tasking and prioritization tasks). •Strong quantitative and analytical skills. •Strong communication skills (verbal and written) •Ability to communicate at various domain and technical levels •Must exhibit a sense of responsibility with a focus on quality deliverables. *Energetic and strong team player *Ability to work independently and shows initiative, ownership and drives issues to resolution *Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment *Understanding of Agile methodology and experience working in agile teams is desirable. Technologies: *Web technologies, XML, SQL scripting (MS SQL Preferred), IBM Websphere •Healthcare domain experience (Financial, Insurance, Business Office) •Testing/Quality background is required. •A solid understanding of the overall SDLC processes and methodologies is required. Agile is desired. •Knowledge in the following software packages is a plus: Caliber RM, Rational ClearCase, Rational Clear Quest (CharmNT), HP Quality Center (Test Director), Primavera Enterprise, Caliber RBT, Visio * Experience with automation testing tools such as on TestPartner & LoadRunner is desirable. * Knowledge or experience in concepts such as Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration and Testing (CIT) desirable. *Knowledge or experience in Development in particular JAVA •An understanding of systems concepts, techniques, tools, and standards as well as a working knowledge of PC third-party products (MS Office, IE, SQL, etc.) is required. •Understands enterprise-level architecture principles. |
